what we do
The Fair Trade Road is a Fair Trade crawl, in celebration of Fair Trade Month. Our inaugural year is October 2019. We invite the community to get out to support Fair Trade all month long and engage in a larger conversation about the benefits of Fair Trade to both the local and global community.
How does it work
Guests can pick up a 2019 Participant Passport at any participating business. Addresses or websites are listed for all 14 businesses. When participants stop in to one of the businesses, they can have their passport initialed by a Sales Associate. When participants receive 6 or more "stamps", they can complete their name and contact information and turn it in at one of the businesses for a chance to win one (1) of fourteen (14) $50 gift cards from the participating businesses.
For wholesale businesses, guests can get the stamp at one of their retailers also participating in The Fair Trade Road. For online only businesses, guests may refer to the businesses website or the events tab above to find a pop-up event where they will be OR visit Ten Thousand Villages St. Paul and follow the online business's social media platforms or newsletters.
Example: Small Things Fair Trade carries products from multiple wholesale participants. If you stop in at the shop, you can get a stamp for Small Things Fair Trade and Twin Engine Coffee, Fair Anita, and Global Mamas. Find more information about where to find our wholesale/online businesses on the Businesses tab above.
To educate the community about the local and global benefits of Fair Trade;
